Screen cover is cheap and does not stay flush to phone making it frustrating when using. Screen opening too small to touch letters on the edges when texting. And charger port not big enough for some chargers.
I got my ghostek case around two weeks ago I believe. As soon as I took it out of the box. I tested it underwater with no water going inside, and after installing the case, I liked the feeling, but the touch screen was hard to use and there was still a lot of air from the screen. As soon as I took the kickstand out, it instantly broke, and it took me 10 minutes to reattach it. It didn't break afterwards. I used it for about a week, water resistant worked but my phone's speakers were damaged for a while. Afterwards, one day I bumped into someone and dropped the phone. A tiny crack was on the left side of the case and a piece broke off, making water resistant useless, so I took the case off for then.
It's an okay case, but if you don't settle for cheap material, I don't recommend it.
I've taken it off, put it on again and the screen protector still isn't flush. Makes an awful tapping noise. I just can't seem to get the air out of the part covering the home button.
I'm probably doing it wrong but I've also noticed that the case doesn't close all the way.
Maybe mine's defective? Great case though, just the protector that lets it down.
The ONLY fault I have with the case, is the waterproof "plug" for the charging port has a "tab" to pull it out with. This tab has broken off and it is nearly impossible to remove the charging plug.
I am checking for replacement parts.........
I had to replace my life proof case because everyone had difficulty hearing me on the other end of the line. Also after only after 4 months the charging door had broken. I paid at least $80 for the Life proof case. This Ghostek was a fraction of that cost. Great buy!
I've had a lifeproof for the last 4 months and had to replace it 2x for the same problem. Now I've had this Ghostek for about an hour and I'm already certain that I won't be replacing this one because of poor design. I am very impressed.
good solid case only problem with it is you will struggle to get all the air out of the case before you seal it together seems like there is always air in the case where the screen is or its loose fitting in the scren area hindering the touch ability
This phone case is the best! My wife and I are both very happy with these cases! My wife had a LifeProof case for her old iPhone and it was bulky. These cases have LifeProof cases beat hands down! Definitely 5 stars!
I just received this case and so far am impressed. I did a 1.5 hour water test with a paper towel in the case and found no moisture at all. The charger port does not accept my aftermarket Monoprice charger but does work with OEM Apple charger just fine. I work in the construction industry and need a case to be both weather and dust proof. If it can be submerged for an hour and a half it should keep out dust as well. My suggestion to you as the manufacturer is to make the instructions that come with the case larger and more informative. Such as a detailed method for people to do a submersion test and how to open the case afterwards. Some instructional videos on the website would also be beneficial. Hopefully I don't drop my phone much but if I do I will leave a post to inform how it held up.
